Located a few hundred meters from the village center is a neighborhood of twin and semi-detached houses whose design meets the homogeneous image imposed by strict municipal regulations.
The project plot is one of the last at the western end of the village, located slightly upstream from the village road, and benefits from beautiful views of the mountains facing it. The layout and geometry of the buildings create dynamic perspectives between each other, from the village road as well as from the highway.
The walls of the north facades of each dwelling, which are very minimally open, are pierced by a vertical glazed slit that animates the rear of the buildings, thus accentuating their strong character, in addition to their central openings designating the entrances to each dwelling.
This approach compensates for the noise nuisances caused by the Lausanne-Geneva freeway and the Swiss Federal Railways (CFF) tracks a few hundred meters to the north of the houses.
